What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy empowers individuals to progress toward improved health and well being through the practice of yoga.
While all yoga is therapeutic, Yoga Therapy focuses specifically on finding inner wellness. That means coming to a Yoga Therapy session is different than going to a traditional yoga class.
In Yoga Therapy, I use different healing tools, including yoga postures, breath awareness and control, guided relaxation, energy work, meditation, and more, to help you connect to your own internal powerful, innate healing ability.
I believe that pain and illness are facts of life, but that most pain can be reduced, most stress can be alleviated, and most physical symptoms can be improved.
Pittsburgh Yoga Therapy has been highly beneficial for people experiencing health challenges, during transitions, AND striving toward overall wellness.

I started practicing yoga in 2001 and became a certified therapeutic yoga teacher through Integrative Yoga Therapy, RYT 200 in 2014. I work with my students to help resolve injury, foster self-care, build stability and strength, and to nurture the mind, body & spirit. My special areas of interest are women’s health (with a special focus on postpartum health), digestive disorders, stress and anxiety management, and providing help to the healing body.
